We can’t wait to hit the stage and rock out with all of you. This night is made possible by the fantastic team at Noise Gate.
We have some incredible updates to share with all of our amazing fans! π€©π
We have been working hard recently to refine our existing songs. Originally these were beautifully sung by our former singer Ben, but now we have had them re-sung by Steve. Steve has put his own unique stamp and voice on the songs and given them a new shine. We cannot longer wait to let you hear these revamped versions and are sure you will be as excited as we are.
But that’s not all! We are also busy writing brand new songs. We want to unleash our creativity and create something special for you guys. These songs are a reflection of our growth as a band and we are determined to surprise you later this year with sincere and compelling music. πΆβ¨
With Steve on board and our new musical creations in the making, this is definitely an exciting time for us. We want to thank you for your continued support and being part of our musical journey. Keep following us as there is so much more to come! π΅β€οΈ

Hello Gumbeez
We are thrilled to introduce our new singer Steve to you all! After numerous auditions and listening to many talented singers, we are confident that Steve is the perfect fit for our band.
Steve is a talented vocalist with a unique voice and a passion for music that has inspired us all. He has years of experience in the music industry and has sung in various bands. We are excited to have him join our team and can’t wait to perform with him.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who took the time to participate in the auditions. We saw so much talent and it was a difficult decision to make. We appreciate your effort and hope that you continue to sing and make music.
With Steve as our new singer, we are determined to continue entertaining our fans with our music and we look forward to seeing you at our next performance.
Take care
GumboGumbo
We recently received some bad news: Ben has decided to leave GumboGumbo.
We are still shocked by it ourselves, but realize that the musical path of GumboGumbo continues. Therefore, it’s necessary for us to start a search for a new singer.
What are we looking for?
You can sing in tune;
You are creative and can write melodies and lyrics;
You are a front man and not afraid to interact with the audience;
You have (some) free time. We rehearse max 2x per month in Ternat.
You don’t qualify yourself, but you know someone who does? Don’t wait any longer and send him our way. To get an idea about the music we make, check out the Albums and Video section of our website. Fancy an audition? Questions? > info[at]gumbogumbo[dot]be
Well, 2021 was a crap year to play in a band.
Fingers crossed in 2022 things will improve.
We wish all our families, friends and fans the best for next year.
May the fuzz be with you!
You have probably noticed that we have no gigs in the near future. Nothing to worry about, we are not actively looking at the moment.
This is a deliberate choice. After the pandemic, the market is saturated and top bands play for next to nothing. We also notice that venues currently prefer to book a coverband instead of a professional band with original music. Welcome to 2021β¦
We have chosen to keep ourselves busy writing new music and rehearsing it in our regular spot at the Noise Gate. This is a slow process because we are not easily satisfied and of the 10 songs we write, only two or three remain.
Still, the intention is to record new work as soon as possible and then get back on stage.
We will certainly keep you informed.
Stay tuned, it ainβt over until the fat lady sings!
PS: We finally have a HTTPS connection for our website so you can safely visit us.
Exactly 4 years ago, we released our single Blues Excuse. We arenβt totally objective, but think it still rocks! What do you think?
Ben has been interviewed on Radio RBS a while ago. You can listen to it right here:
Oh Lord have mercy!
